Problem
- Change in occupational health and safety (OHS) laws in 2022, impossibility of building an integrated OHS management system due to the territorial remoteness of the company’s facilities, incorrect distribution of OHS functions and division of responsibility between the specialists
Task
- A comprehensive audit of occupational health and safety and fire safety
- Division of responsibilities among OHS staff employees
Solution
- Remote audit (without specialists visiting the client’s site) in all areas, including documentation, processes and procedures in the company
- For 3.5 weeks, 46 electronic documents, including OHS regulations and guidelines, the results of OHS measures implemented, as well as a package of personnel documents (staffing schedule, job descriptions and employment contracts of employees), were being analysed.
Result
- The risks of violation of OHS laws were eliminated. 43 violations of OHS laws were revealed (the minimum fine for each violation is RUB 50 thousand), recommendations for elimination thereof were given
- OHS optimisation solutions were proposed: management system options, procedure formats, division of responsibility between the client’s sites and specialists
- Solutions for automation of OHS-related processes and implementation of electronic document flow were proposed.
