In 2018, the amounts of allowances and benefits paid out to working citizens by the Social Insurance Fund will rise.
The increase is due to the fact that the payment amount will be calculated based on the earnings for 2016 and 2017. The maximum income amount for these two years will make 1,473,000 roubles:
- 718,000 roubles – for 2016
- 755,000 roubles – for 2017.
The maximum amount of the maternity benefit will make:
- 282,493.40 roubles – for 140 days
- 314,778.36 roubles – for 156 days in case of complicated labour
- 391,455.14 roubles – for 194 days in case of multifetal pregnancy.
The minimum allowance amounts are calculated based on a statutory minimum wage level valid as of the date of the insured event.
The bill on increase of the statutory minimum wage level since 01 January 2018 up to 9,489 roubles is published at the website regulation.gov.ru.
Thus, next year, the minimum average daily wage for calculation of temporary disability allowances will reach 311.97 roubles.
The minimum maternity benefit will amount to:
- 43,675.80 roubles – for 140 days
- 48,667.32 roubles – for 156 days in case of complicated labour
- 60,522.18 roubles – for 194 days in case of multifetal pregnancy.
- a lump-sum benefit for women registering pregnancy with medical institutions at early stages (up to 12 weeks)
- a lump-sum benefit on the child’s birth
- a monthly parental benefit (for child under 1.5)
Since 01 February 2018, the minimum amounts are expected to grow by 3.2% (the relevant bill is published at the website regulation.gov.ru) and will make:
- 632.76 roubles – a lump-sum benefit for women registering pregnancy with medical institutions at early stages
- 16,873.54 roubles – a lump-sum benefit on the child’s birth
- 3,163.79 roubles – a monthly parental benefit for the first-born child
- 6,327.57 roubles – a monthly parental benefit for the second-born and subsequent children.
