Please be informed that on March 15, 2019, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Chayka Y.Y. issued an order No 196 "On the organization of the prosecutor's supervision over the observance of labour rights of citizens"
According to this order, the officials of the prosecution system of the Russian Federation, within the frame of their competence, must take additional measures to increase the supervision over compliance with labour legislation and ensure proper organization of supervision over the implementation of the provisions of the Labour Code of the Russian Federation, other regulatory acts containing labour law norms,
Public prosecution bodies are ordered to pay special attention, among other things, when carrying out inspections to the observance of the rights of citizens for timely and full payment of wages.
Please note that, in accordance with this order, the prosecution authorities will be required to respond to all reports of the lack in the local regulatory acts, collective agreements, agreements on the procedure of the wage indexation due to the increase in consumer prices for goods and services, of the failure of employers to fulfill obligations under the collective agreement, the agreement on the wage indexation.
