Senior HR Manager, BDO Unicon Outsourcing
The first question I ask every candidate is: What will you do if you receive a phone call from a customer who starts to rebuke you for the error made by another department/employee? The answer to this question enables to assess the skills of teamwork/commitment to a common goal. A candidate that will try to get rid of the responsibility is not our candidate.
Further, I am interested in the candidate’s motivations. Usually, I ask candidates to name their motivations quickly, so that they do not have the time to think them over and dodge. Thus I will get the most honest answer.
I like unexpected questions as well, for example, “How often do you tell lies?” Have you told me lies or stretched the truth when answering my questions? What question do you think I missed?
