The RAEX rating agency ranked Unicon Outsourcing first among major providers of outsourced HR accounting and record management functions. The company also ranks third on the financial and tax accounting outsourcing market. Companies are ranked based on the total revenue they have generated over the period under review.
As of year-end 2021, the company was the leader of HR services outsourcing market, having increased its revenue by 6% vs. the previous period and made 217,762 thousand Russian roubles. Apart from that, Unicon Outsourcing has been ranked 3rd in the list of major providers of financial and tax accounting services, having made 571,116 Russian roubles.
Total revenues of the companies included in the financial and tax accounting outsourcing ranking increased by 14%, and HR accounting and record management outsourcing – by 16%. The players are certain that the increased demand for their services is driven by the increase of remote labour volumes, active implementation of electronic record management systems, and businesses’ need for business process optimization in these turbulent times.
“Due to the pandemic, many companies had to switch their employees to remote working. And this trend is still relevant in 2021, as the market saw an increase in requests for electronic record management systems implementation, labour protection services and military service record-keeping services. Customers started to use Employee Self Service solutions and HR bots rather prominently. The demand for financial accounting outsourcing services has also increased. The largest customers come from the pharmaceutical industry, retail and wholesale trade industries. We had some customers who tried to launch projects for establishment of Shared Services Centres (SSC), but eventually came to realization that it would be more effective to outsource these functions to competent providers”, says Sergey Tiunov, Unicon Outsourcing managing partner.
“Today, an outsourcing company must not only serve as a substitution for staff accountant or HR specialist, but act as a full-fledged partner helping to eliminate bottlenecks and optimize business processes. The ranking results prove that the most successful service providers are those who are ready to quickly adapt to market changes and offer optimal solutions to their customers’ business tasks. We have already established our representation office in the Republic of Kazakhstan to help companies enter new markets and maintain business continuity, and launched a project for anti-crisis consulting in the areas such as finances, HR and IT. From our Russian customers, we receive requests related to Shared Services Centres performance improvement, automation and hosting of business applications, and implementation of management accounting systems. We also expect some demand for transition to domestic software, for instance, many customers will need to switch from foreign ERP systems to 1C ERP”, says Lyudmila Shusterova, Unicon Outsourcing Deputy General Director for Transformation and Strategic Development.
