The conference on “Trends of changing of the current migration legislation” took place on September 22, 2010 in hotel Baltschug Kempinski Moscow. At the invitation of the Russian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry the practicing lawyers of the outsourcing division of BDO in Russia took part in the conference.
As a part of outsourcing services rendering our lawyers regularly deal in their practice with issues of determining status of working foreign citizens, they also render consulting services on migration legislation execution.
The event was organized by the Russian-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFR) and Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK). More than 300 people took part in the conference – they are: practicing lawyers, human resources officers, officers of human resources departments of Russian, German and French companies.
The officers of the Federal Migration service of Russia spoke at the conference, including Director of the Federal Migration service (FMS) Konstantin Romodanovsky who emphasized the lowering of migration barriers to attract foreign experts to work in the RF, commented on the appropriate changes in the Russian migration legislation, he also told of development of set of preferences for foreign experts in the part of air transport services, possibility to move in Russia and get residence permit for the members of the foreign experts’ families. The Head of the migration services answered the questions of the foreign companies’ representatives which were connected with legal aspects of concluding employment agreements with foreign experts, their validity periods, procedure of getting permission for work and other questions related, for example, to trends of lowering 2 millions threshold on salary when attracting a foreign expert to work in the company.
