In February BDO Outsourcing Division in Russia together with its partners from “Ecopsy Consulting” – a company rendering consulting services in organizational effectiveness and personnel management held the first seminar for wide range of specialists on standardization and optimization of processes in accounting department: choice of methods and approaches. More than 70 persons participated in the event, which took place in “Mariott Tverskaya” Hotel.
Financial directors, chief accountants, personnel managers, specialists in compensations and benefits were among the participants of the seminar. Among them there were representatives of such well-known companies as «Karo Film Finance», «Azbuka vkusa», «Hansa Leasing», «Roslokomotiv», «Bauercenter Rus», Group of companies «Automir», «TyssenGroup Materials», «Sibur Holding», «Svedbank», «Promsvyazbank» and others.
In active dispute the participants of the seminar discussed problems that companies face in the area of standardizations of labor costs in accounting departments, they also found some possible ways for application of methods on standardization of these labor costs and for optimization of accountant’s work, including due to transfer of some functions for outsourcing. In association with moderators – representatives of “Ecopsy” and BDO – the participants examined a business case related to calculation of optimal size of accounting department for a distribution company.
