At the invitation of Outsourcing Professionals Partnership “ASTRA” and the largest international company “Accenture” representatives of BDO Outsourcing Department participated in the first meeting of Russian branch of IAOP (International Association of Outsourcing Professionals Russian Chapter).
Russian branch of IAOP was established in June of 2010 in order to unite efforts of outsourcing professionals and international companies interested in development of Russian outsourcing industry. Representatives of “ASTRA” Association and “Accenture” Company headed the new branch of IAOP; they will define the main directions and strategy of the new branch. The meeting, in which representatives of BDO Outsourcing Department took part, was devoted to defining of practical tools for development of Russian outsourcing industry. Representatives of international outsourcing association IAOP addressed the meeting, which was held in the form of open discussion, and told about main directions of the association work in the areas of methodology, development of knowledge base of outsourcing companies, principals of work with clients, etc. and about principles of cooperation between noncommercial partnership ”ASTRA” and Russian branch of IAOP. Participants of the meeting – representatives of outsourcing companies working in Russia and corporate IAOP members - Intel, SAP, Microsoft, Symantec and others had an opportunity to express their wishes on the format of future meetings and relevant topics.
Preliminary decisions on creation of unified glossary of outsourcing companies, on division of meetings participants into special-purpose committees for discussion of issues of market formation and promotion of range of services considering its specific characters. During the discussion the affair participants demonstrated great interest in studying of popularity of business-processes outsourcing in Russia, which BDO Outsourcing Department realizes together with a rating agency “RBC.Rating”. At the moment the companies realize the second joint project and study demand for outsourcing of different functions in foreign companies, represented in the territory of Russia.
