At the invitation of US Trade and Industry Chamber in Russia (AmCham) representatives of BDO visited Kaluzhskaya Region.
The delegation included Governor of Kaluzhskaya Region Mr. Artamonov Andrey, AmCham President Mr. Sommers Andrew, Head of municipal formation “city of Obninsk” Mr. Avdeev Anatoly and representative of large companies of Kaluzhskaya Region and companies-members of AmCham in Moscow (in particular, HP and CBRE). Program of the affair suggested visiting of one of the industrial parks located in the territory of the region, which is traditionally considered favorable for attraction of foreign investments and for location of production facilities of international corporations. As of today 5 industrial parks function in Kaluzhskaya Region, total area ofg the industrial parks is 2.3 hectares. These are Grabtsevo, Rosva, Kaluga-Yug, A-Park and Vorsino industrial parks. Automobile concerns Renault, Citroen, Peugeot, Volvo, MitsubishiMotors and also Nestle, Samsung, Magna and many other companies with 100% foreign capital located their production facilities here.
The delegation visited municipal industrial zone, production and logistic complex “Kraftway”, factory of “RUSTR-Technology” Group of Companies specializing in manufacturing of cutting forms and accessories. Much attention was paid to development of innovation activities in the region. In particular, the delegation visited Obinsk Center of Science and Technology, and met representatives of Obninsk innovation community in Scientists Center. Innovational potential of Kaluzhskaya Region was presented to the participants in presentation format.

I was happy to discover openness of representatives of Kaluzhskaya Region Administration, their understanding of problems and demands of foreign companies starting its productions in Russia. Administration of Kaluzhskaya Region takes all necessary measures to eliminate any possible barriers that impede development of investment climate in the region. Interest of BDO Outsourcing Department in the trip is connected not only to studying of investment environment in Kaluzhskaya Region but also to development of outsourcing business in the region because as of today 75% of our company’s clients are companies with foreign capital.
