Outsourcing division of BDO in Russia is 5 years old

On September 8, 2005 a separate legal entity – ZAO “BDO Unicon Business Services” (an outsourcing division of BDO in Russia) was established within the group of BDO in Russia (starting from January 1, 2010 BDO group in Russia, website). It was an entity where practice of accounting services from an auditing company was used. The profile of the new company is outsourcing of business processes in the sphere of business accounting and personnel records. For the audit and consulting group of companies BDO Unicon, member of BDO International with headquarters in Brussels, Belgium outsourcing became a prospective line of development on the professional financial services market.

Today the outsourcing division of BDO in Russia is rapidly growing. BDO Unicon Business services employed 200 people.Today we provide business processes outsourcing services for more than 200 customers that are Russian and foreign companies performing their business activity in the Russian federation and in other countries. Among clients of BDO there are many great international brands. Business development encouraged opening of our branch – resource center of the outsourcing division in Voronezh which let the company to reduce costs due to the economies of scale, standardization of uniform procedures and optimization of customer relationship.

-  Outsourcing as a tool of business management began to develop in Russia not long ago, together with the beginning of market economy promotion. Though we are a long way still from outsourcing popularity in the advanced economies outsourcing is actively used in our country for rather long time not only for such auxiliary functions as cleaning and security but also in HR, accounting, legal advice and production spheres. Today it is safe to say that outsourcing is gradually becoming a part of the economic system of the enterprise program and a reasonable tool to raise production efficiency.

2005

2006

ZAO BDO Unicon Business Services company began to boost its’ client base. In 2006 we attracted for outsourcing companies of world reputation – Moscow representative office JSC of simplified type “CLS Remi Cuantro”, OOO Bentley Systems, OOO Fox Twenty Century CIS, representative office of Sony Ericson Mobile Communications Rus, OOO Amdocks solutions Ltd.

That year an accounting department was founded. This production unit became the central on the stage of company’s start-up. Today the number of the Accounting department is 63 persons. Accounting department includes not only employees of Moscow office of BDO Unicon Business services, but also employees of the branch in Voronezh.

 

2007

In 2007 Department on work with clients was established. Client service was aimed at improvement of customer relationship efficiency, providing of accurate and in time fulfillment of customers’ inquiries.

When rendering multiple services the Department on work with clients also promoted effective cooperation between production units and internal clients services.

Today Client service includes 11 persons.

Due to the increase of number of projects on salary calculation the company decided to open Calculation center, a specialized department of the company which provides services of salary calculation. Calculation center let the company to reduce costs due to the economies of scale, standardization of uniform procedures and optimization of customer relationship.

The company was boosting human resources. BDO Unicon Business services employed 200 people. The number of certified accountants was increasing. The system of internal and external training was developing.

That year the company also received the first prize in the nomination “Outsourcing of financial functions” in the frame of the first Russian national Prize “Business Atlantes” in the outsourcing sphere, which was organized under the authority of International association of outsourcing professionals.

 

2008

A branch of BDO Unicon Business services was opened in Voronezh. Remote office let to reduce costs of services offered for our clients. Today the Voronezh branch is developing.

 

2009

BDO Unicon Business services together with rating agency RBC Rating started joint project on research of demand for outsourcing of business processes in Russian and foreign companies. More than 6000 companies participated in the project. The company provided methodological support to Mass media. Expert company profile was growing, as well as citation index. Opinions of BDO Unicon Business services professionals on the questions of adoption of outsourcing, changes in the legislation, some legal issues were published in Russian and international business and specialized publications, such as “Kommersant”, Business FM, Rosbusinessconsulting, C-news, Secret Firmy, Finansovaya gazeta, Finansoviy director, Uchet.Nalogy.Pravo, Kadrovoe delo, Kadroviy management, Upravlenie personalom and others. The company rose to public fame.

The company improved the internal business processes aimed at increase of quality of clients’ service rendering. BDO systematized and implemented new procedures of internal audit and quality control, developed business continuity plan which united all procedures that provided regularity of service rendering and minimized risks of breach of obligations to Clients.

The company is enlarging its’ clients portfolio, it started to work with companies well-known on the Russian market – OOO “OBI Franchise Center”, Moscow representative office of JSC Eli Lilly Vostok S.A., OOO Lilly Farma, OOO Amgen.

 

2010

The company’s website was created on a separate domain. An additional web-service was developed for Clients – a personal account which helped to provide effective information exchange between the Client and BDO Unicon Business services.

The division is engaged in outsourcing of business processes in the Finance and Accounting sphere for companies with various forms of labour organization and organizational structures. We have the first prize in the nomination “Outsourcing of financial functions” in the frame of the first Russian national Prize “Business Atlantes” in the outsourcing sphere which was organized under the authority of International association of outsourcing professionals (IAOP). The division has a successful experience of development and promotion of calculation processes with personnel of the outsourcing customers. The division employs about 200 specialists and serves over 200 clients. The professional risks of BDO Unicon Group have been insured with Rosno Insurance Company and within the global professional liability insurance system of BDO Global.
