On August 31, 2011 the Association of strategic outsourcing “ASTRA” announced that a new partner – BDO group, one of the leaders of Russian market of business processes outsourcing – has entered into the association.
BDO group of companies became new corporate partner of the National association of strategic outsourcing NP “ASTRA”. The group currently provides clients with comprehensive support in the following areas: audit, tax and legal consulting, financial advisory, system integration and business advisory. In 2010 BDO took the 2nd place in the list of major business process outsourcing companies in terms of total revenues (rating agency Expert RA).
The representatives of BDO group of companies are planned to take an active part in dedicated Committee “ASTRA” on BPO development, as well as in IAOP Russia Chapter. Committee on BPO development was founded at the beginning of 2011 in relation to a substantial growth of business activity and volumes of BPO sector in Russia in years 2010-11, as well as to the increasing demand for BPO services from major and medium-sized Russian enterprises. For the first time on Russian market a neutral platform aimed to become a tool for consolidation of resources and efforts of all active and professional players of the Russian BPO market was formed.
According to the President of NP “ASTRA” Sergei Makedonskiy, “after BDO group - one of the leaders of Russian market of business processes outsourcing – has entered into our association, we became even more closer to the practice to present interests of the whole Russian outsourcing industry without its traditional and often artifitial segmentation into ITO and ВРО. Active use of outsourcing in Russia leads to formation of market of professional services that is necessary for development and diversification of Russian economy”.
“Participation of BDO group in practical work of BPO Committee and IAOP Russia Chapter will focus on integration and consolidation of efforts of Russian market players and large international companies for joint work on development and promotion of outsourcing tools in Russia, as well as on adjustment of the best international experience and outsourcing standards for Russian market,” — specifies Sergei Tiunov, General Director of Outsourcing division of BDO.
Formation of working groups for implementation of high-priority practical projects, including Russian BPO Glossary and complex research of Russian market, will be the main tasks of the open joint session of BPO Committee and IAOP Russia Chapter “Primary tasks on development of BPO Russian market”. The session will take place at BDO office on September 5, 2011 (Monday) from 17:00 to 19:00.
